Welcome to the forum.
I would suggest you to first go through the threads in speaker section as well as "what should I buy" section. Shortlist a few brands/models based on reviews. Then you may go and audition them in the real world.
The choice of the speaker would also be dictated by what amplifier you have or plan to purchase and what type of music do you listen to.
I know you would get more confused after all this. But that is way better than first jumping on the bandwagon and repenting on the wrong (rather uninformed) decision later.

I have read through the forum. I have an onkyo 3305 package. I'm happy with the output from time I was using with my LED tv. But now I upgraded to a projector and the sound output doesn't seem enough and also I want to switch from satellite to tower speakers. My only use is movies. I'm looking for a speaker suggestion under 25k for a pair.

Onkyo on quite Brighter part, it could blend with Wharfedale ,Jamo etc hence try audition Wharfedale Vardus 300 ,or Jamo would get match. Now for another few days get the opinions from FM's then start to spend your weekend for Audition carrying your amp with list of your fav movies and Music. Keep on doing it until your Ears say, This is the better.

I dont think there is a place in chennai where I can audition with my receiver and movies I will have to go by you experts' words. Pls suggest a place in chennai where I can buy wharfedale speakers. My budget is 20 to 25k

Since your only use is for movies, you wont be satisfied with just tower speakers. Bookshelves paired with a subwoofer will be a better choice. Or in case you are planning to buy a sub in the future, then its okay even with floorstanders.

I have a onkyo 5.1 system which has a sub. Im just replacing the front satellite sepakers to tower speakers for loudness and style.
