Polk audio TSX440t or TSX550t

I've just bought a Marantz SR5008. I'm looking at either of the polk audio speakers as mentioned. I'm only wanting the floor standing speakers at this stage. The set up will be for tv/blu ray movies/music. Reviews I have read about the 550t say it lacks bass, and the 440t is better. I will not be purchasing a separate sub, unless needed. The price difference between the 2 options is $837, the 550t being the much dearer option. I'm in New Zealand and buying the 440t, even with a separate sub is still cheaper. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have any Dali zensor dealers around your place , pls take audition of Dalizensor 5 or 7.Here people who don't like tsx440 bass , have very high opinion on Dalizensor 7.
