Polka audio tsx 330

Hello , im planning to buy a pair of polk audio tsx 330 floor standing speakers.
im goin to pair it with onkyo a 9030 amp. I wud like to use it only for stereo music playback. a 9030 is 65w/channel at 0.08% THD. can it drive tsx 330 to produce gud quality music. thanks in advance

The Tsx 330s are rates at 150w and the 9030 has 65w/ch.

It will play well to some extent and possibly overheat the amp during longplays....

It would be advisable to go for speakers which are 100w or 120w...perhaps you can look at other brand towers like Boston Acoustics which are available, you can explore HiFiMart.

I would beg to differ. The onkyo will drive those speakers absolutely fine. Overheat? The amp will heat up as much as it would heat up driving speakers rated for 100 watts... The speakers nominal impedance is also 8 ohms... The amp will be at ease. However an audition would be good to see how the pairing matches.
