Hello everyone,

a friend of mine recently purchased a BT audio-transmitter to be used with his Sony Bravia 'dumb'TV, & a Beats Audio Pill speaker on the other end. he has reported a lag in audio-reception of about a second or less, and said that it has been marring the overall experience. i want to ask whether there's any way by which this lag can be eliminated or atleast reduced? or, any other method by which audio can be transmitted to the Beats speaker over the air?

thanks.

Unfortunately, that's the nature of Bluetooth - a very debatable one though. Wondering why he should route the sound to the teeny weeny pill speaker. Sony TV output should be better than that.....no?

its because his TV is kept in hall while the adjacent room has a bed, diagonally opposite to the view of the TV, wherein he has placed the speaker for his father to listen to while lying on the bed. TV's volume isnt much audible there.

Bluetooth is laggy. You need to use some proprietary wireless system.

Assuming Beats Pill has an Aux input, you can use something like https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Tra...-Surround/dp/B00SJ49ZJQ/ref=lp_3016936011_1_5

Do both the transmitter and receiver support low latency Aptx bluetooth?

Something like this will minimise (though not completely remove) the lag between two devices.
