problem with STB?!or..TV?!or AVR :confused:

I have recently got Videocon hd dth,tht PQ is terribly good.but here is some problem with my setup

I have setup
LGTV-->ARC HDMI-->YAMAHA470 AVR (HDMI OUT)
VideoconSTB-->HDMI-->LGTV
VIdeoconSTB-->COAX-->SPDIf-->AVR
Actually this setup should work properly but I am loosing audio when I am playing content from TV-USB , and in the same time I have removed the HDMI from DTH then audio is properly out from avr(ARC in sync all the cases ).
Then I have tried connecting another device through HDMI in STB, then it worked .so not sure whether is the problem with video con STB or AMP or TV. Need suggestions to get rid of this

Why do you need ARC when you are feeding the audio directly from STB to AVR through COAX?

Is the problem only present when you play content through TV USB or it also present when using STB?

If its TV USB are you able to get audio out through TV? This is the only time you will need ARC enabled TV and AVR .

try running with STB powered off completely. If TV is giving proper output on its own speakers while playing on USB then better check AVR input settings (check which HDMI input is being used by AVR while keeping it to TV mode).

i did that i am getting propper audio from my TV with tv speakers .once i turn tv settings to external speaker ..no audio o/p

what do you mean by down scaling.and even if that got downscale avr should give some o/p.in my case there is no audio at all.
problem is only when STB HDMI is present with TV. if i remove STB HDMI i am getting TV audio on AVR ,and also when i remove the same STB-HDMI connect to my laptop complete setup is fine.
