Can subscription for Qobuz be done directly from India or a vpn has to be used since it shows in usd ?

The conductor 4 app on my Aurender allows me to use Qobuz already. What will the Qobuz connect add to this?
Guess you will have to try the aurender vs qobuz app for sound quality and features, and see which one you prefer. Im doing the same for Lumin at the moment.

Probably not for me. I can’t get the Qobuz app on my phone in India. Trying to think it through: if I travelled to Europe or the US I could install it after opening a new App Store account using a credit card from a local bank there. But first Visas, tickets, money…
But that’s a great deal of effort to go for Qobuz connect
I hear using VPN is illegal ?

Looks like I prefer the Lumin app. The qobuz app is a bit too forward sounding for my taste as compared to the lumin app which sounds warmer.

I found the description of the big advantage of the connect functionality (Courtesy John Darko) ….”it allows us to hand off a music stream started on a smartphone, tablet, Mac or PC to a Qobuz Connect-compatible streaming endpoint in our hi-fi system. Hi-res streams up to PCM 24bit/192kHz are supported. This allows us to sidestep the heavy compromises of Bluetooth and Apple AirPlay 2, which are a) lossy and b) see the stream travel through the smartphone en route to the streaming endpoint.”

A basic question - if I use qobuz connect through the app. in my phone to send to my hi-fi, is my phone battery being drained as it plays?
Cheers,
Sid

Seeing that no knowledgeable FM is advising, I (with little technical knowledge) would guess:
If Using a wired USB connection to stream to an external DAC from the Qobuz connect app your phone may actually be charging during such use?
