In speaker crossovers:
In resistors that are used, what is the significance of resistor wattage? Is there a rule of thumb that lower wattage resistors can be used for the highpass and higher wattage for the lowpass? How much wattage would be termed enough? Does lower/higher wattage matter? If yes, how?
For caps used, same question as above w.r.t. voltage.
For inductors used, same question as above w.r.t. wattage, wire thickness and resistance. When would you use air core inductors as opposed to magnetic or steel core inductors?
Answers would be much appreciated.
