RCA cables: I'm a newb!

I'm looking to spend $100 or less on RCA cable(s) for a stereo setup.

I'm looking at the Kimber Kable RCA Tonik, at about $80.

Is that a decent route to go? It seems it's the best possible option local to me.

I would buy a pair of van Den Hul D102 MkIII interconnects at that price.

I would buy some cheap, but sturdy cables and save the money. Anything more is just pure waste.

Do you want to know why? Open up your electronics/speakers etc. Take a look at the wires in there. If those wires are fine, you don't need the fancy cables costing as much as an equipment.

Chord company's Crimson Plus and QED's Performance Audio 2 are two good RCA cables within that budget. They are value for money.

I am not qualified to comment on what would be best but you might want to check out blue jeans cable if you are looking for good quality no nonsense stuff.
