i've always wanted to hear a rega turntable. hopefully they'll stock em. i faintly remember some dealer with that sort of name but don't remember much. if its the same dealer, they were in somewhere on mg road...

Well, I still do not see any Indian distributor in Rega website which says was last updated on April 1, 2010. But the front page of the Rega site has a lot of new distributors around the world. The Rega site also says that they are looking for new International distributors. So I guess the news in AVMax is probably going to be correct.

I just hope that the Indian distributor prices the Rega products reasonably. I am interested too in their TTs. Many people in the US and UK prefer Rega tables than Pro-ject in the budget or mid range. Rega CDPs are also very well regarded, especially the Saturn. They have a new CDP called Iris which is also available in a tube version.

yeah absolutely. rega has quite a fan base and a quite legendary reputation and the arms they have are very well regarded too. seems like everywhere one turns to on international forums one bumps into someone who has a rega turntable hehe. would be a very good option to have here in india i must say! you were looking for a turntable right? this could be the ticket you were looking for. regas are more tweakable than projects if i remember right...

LAV has other brands like Perraux Amps, Ohiocha Speakers, RBH speakers and now Rega. The consignment was yet to come couple of days back. Their display (demo) is getting ready and is in finishing stage. Have heard briefly RBH and Perraux few days back. They should formally open up in next few days time, however have installed couple of systems in and around Pune.
We are looking forward to good demo sessions featuring the above said brands in immediate furture.

Any news about Rega products. I tried calling them(life sytle audio video - 020 32319233) up but no one picks up the phone. Also I sent them an e-mail which bounced back. I would also be interested in buying a Rega TT.

They are yet to open officially and that could be the reason for their sluggish response. I heard that the demo room is ready now and they are looking forward to gala opening ceremony sometime soon. Am paning to visit them soon for a demo of various equipments in stock. Will update soon.

distributor in India, I should have the final details confirmed in the

Just now spoke to LAV, the consignment of Rega is expected only by 1st week of July 2010. Till then, will have to wait, will post as soon as i get the news about Rega arrival here.

After I read this thread in April,I tried getting in touch for something like a month.Even managed to make contact a couple of times and was told that 'they would get back soon'.No one ever 'got back',the site remained under construction and Rega drifted out of my buying plans forever...
