Region free Pioneer BDP - 150 from U.K

I have bought a region free pioneer bdp 150 from U.K . Do I need a surge protector or convertor or any thing at all.
Does any one have this one and how is it

You don't need a converter since it is from UK. A surge protector can be used if you are paranoid about spikes.
