I have upgraded from RDTV-SD to RDTV-HD Box last week. The difference in so called HD like quality is noticeable due to the up-scaling.There seems to be an issue with the HDMI connection though.Eventhough the HD crispness is there, for some reason the picture is grainy & flickers/blacks out every 20/30 mins and i can see a lot static as well.I have read in other forums that there was a firmware issue and RDTV offered firmware upgarde to solve the issue(in june'11).My box has had a software download dated 13th july,so i would say that the firmware upgrade has been done. The same HD/SD content over a component connection is crisp and fantastic to say the least. Now i am splitting my head as in what couyld be the issue!
Any help on the above would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Sam
- Eventhough RDTV offers only 720p/1080i content the tv says its 1080p/50i something while i switch connections.what could be the reason?
- Could it be due to the HDMI cable?I used the same cable for the laptop-TV connection for SD content and it was just fine.
- Will HDMI 1.3 solve this issue?
- Any settings that i could try changing in the setup box/tv?
Any help on the above would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Sam
