Repair of Onkyo S3700 reciever

Hi, I am based in Central Delhi near Karol Bagh. I have an Onkyo S3700 Home theatre in a Box bought in 2014 for Rs.33000/-. The receiver had stopped working last week. Showed it in the Onkyo Authorized showroom but was told that its some chip has gone bad and will have to be replaced. it will cost Rs. 13000 for the repair. Considering the cost of the system with the cost of repair, thinking of giving a local repair shop a try. Wanted to know whether anyone knows some local repair shop in Delhi preferably near Karol Bagh.

Ensure the local repair guys knows how to repair Hifi systems and TVs...then only he can rectify the same....

Usually the AVRs we have nowadays are chip board based......the old days.....repairers used to replace parts capacitors and ics......now its no more like that......most parts are board based.....the boards are imported through parts express or sources by the repairer and fixed.......accordingly the repair charges would be applied.

Some repairers would honestly tell you the issue....and charge you fairly...while others may exploit and say this is not working and that is not working etc...
