Things repeat on the name of marketing.
Older CRTs were curvy (convex) and there was a new technology introduced by name FST (Flat Square Tube). Sony Wega Tubes got flatter than Trinitrons.

Now we are going back again to curves. This type with concave screen.

The curved display concept was pretty interesting and introduced by LG and Samsung in 2013 CES, but I cant say I have any hope for a near future launch.

The 55 inch LG oled tv shown last year is still not available in plenty for sale. So for these curved oleds it will take quite a long time before commercial sale happens.

"Other curves" are more important than TV curves.
