Samsung LD40C530 or LD40C550

Hi,

I am new to the forum and this is my first post here!!

I am planning on buying a 40" LCD TV.
I am not able to decide between the 2 Samsung.
As far as i know the only difference between the two is the contrast ratio and 550 has Wi-Fi.

But is Wi-Fi worth the extra cost?
The offer i got for c530 was around 48k and c550 was 49.5k

Can anyone of you help me decide?

Why not go for LEDs? 5000 series or some LG LE 4600 42 inches.

LEDs wont come in my budget.
The main criteria is that I need a 40" and only LCD fits the bill.

So any suggestions as to what I can buy among the 2 tv sets mentioned above??

go for tv with wifi connection, with wifi you will be able to watch youtube without attaching additional router. please review this t.v. if you buy it.

48K for C530 is not a very good price. But 49K for C550 is. So go for C550 in your case.

There is NO WIFI in C550, another case of FALSE IMPRESSION about these models. Main difference between these 2 models are:

1. Ethernet port on C550
2. DLNA (Network file sharing) support on C550

Per Showroom person, Samsung is 2011 model "D" is launching next week . You could wait for a week and check out new models
