Well some of the members had the opportunity to meet him while some spoke over phone.

I had a great time and had a few things to learn from him about home theatre and related.

It is because of such a wonderful forum that we come to know of such good people like Santosh.

1)Meet Prem and listen to his amazing rethm/isoteric stereo system
2)Meet and listen to akshayjha's DIY puriss Class A amp
3)Meet hemantwaghe briefly. He was kind enough to drop by my hotel although he lives in the far end of the city. He also gave me some LPs as a gift. Thanks mate.
4)Buy some LPs from Mr.Jitendar at Borivali. Thanks to hiten for the reference, I got special treatment

I had planned but could not meet below mentioned members due to tight schedule, distance etc:
1) Manav (malvai)
2) Spirovious
3) Denom
4) Hiten
5) Suresh
......anyways there is always next time. I look forward to meet you guys in my next visit.

I shall write a detailed post on the audition of Prem's system and Vinay's home theater experience during this week.

We did discuss a lot on the aspects of making a dedicated home theater and also exchanged thoughts about what we could have done better. Interestingly both of us have ambitions to make atleast one more home theater which would be leagues ahead of what we currently have.

About full BD rips, he now has a few. He has not had the chance to see any yet. Let us wait for his impression.

What about the demos you had and his comparison of his HT and your HT?

To answer your question, my honest opinion is that Vinay's theater clearly wins hands down. His HT is a class act.

We have met before when Vinay had come over to Bangalore. Our discussions were mostly HT, Movies, Formats, AV Equipment etc. Even this time, it was the same except that I had a few questions on Mutual Funds which he patiently answered.

Yes, indeed. A very good modern turntable with a very fancy cart, a capable phono stage, a mind-blowing pre-amp, a high-wattage class A amp, and a stonking pair of floorstanders. All linked by good cables. And a crazy number of records to listen to! Quite a treat.

Movie Room - Rips

Sri,

We discussed at length about the dedicated theatre room's which we have made and how things could have been more better, the important thing was that how we missed out on certain things when we see our and other's movie room.

I have seen 2 rips of blue ray which Santosh gave me, the picture quality difference is around 10% compared to my downloads of 1080P in about 10/12 GB. As Santosh, has given me several movies, i will see them and if the quality difference is more then 15%, i will consider to rip the blue rays.

I think my suggestion was good that you request members to come over at my place so that you can meet them under one roof but somehow this plan did not work out.

The Making Of A Entertainment Room

Among the discussion we had was how difficult it is to make a entertainment room but what is more difficult as to how we should enjoy the most in such a marvel room.

My home theatre could be better then others but look at the amount of effort and money which has been pumped. In spite of this we can find fault in our theatres, we know a much better job can be done, no wonder we keep telling fellow members that do not make the mistakes especially when you are warned.

About mutual funds i was explaining Santosh, how easy it is to make money, that too without human contact, after all most of us are looking for alternative source of income.

We Met Twice

Since i knew several months in advance about Santosh's visit, i had the opportunity to plan the meeting in a proper way and i saw to it that i was completely free for the meet.

Further as i was aware that he is a early riser and will have a tight schedule during his stay, i had worked out a meeting at 6 in the morning, we met twice at these early hours.
