Have you checked any set ups as of now? Any speakers, AVRs you prefer? There are many threads on the same topic in the What to buy section. Please go through them and try to audition. Where do you plan to buy from?
eg. Denon 1910+QA 1010i speaker package(40k+55k), Pio dv220(5k).
You have got 25k, add about 20k and get a glorious Panasonic plasma, you are good to go.

Would you be using your set up mainly or solely for HT? How important is music?
I think you should get the AVR from Bangalore as you would get better prices. However, is it convenient for you to audition and transport the stuff from Bangalore?
I feel you can pick up the speakers from Kochi though.
