Hi everyone,

I’m starting a new voiceover project and could really use some guidance. The project involves narrating a short documentary, and I want to ensure my delivery is clear, engaging, and emotionally appropriate.

I’m curious about tips for pacing, tone, and breathing techniques, as well as any tools or software that can help improve audio quality.

Additionally, I’m unsure about how to prepare the script for smooth recording sessions. Has anyone here tackled a similar project?

I’d love to hear about your experiences, challenges, and any advice you have for a beginner in voiceover work.

As a reference, you can search for a similar genre of documentary on the net where someone else has done and take cues from it regarding the tone and pacing.
The distance from which you speak from the mic also affects clarity. All the best in your new endeavour.
