hi..

so i have decided to go for velodyne .. have asked quote for

optimum 8,10,12 inch..
also EQ-Max 8,10,12 and 15 inch.

now i have 2 question..

1. i def think is optimum is better than EQ-max ? or is it so ?
2. what size of woofer should i go for ... living room is 20x14ft which is approx 300sqft.

i do value money, so if buying a 10inch is going to be enough, should i go in for 12 or even 15inch. .. tough i think i should buy 15inch, but dont want it to be overkill...

plzs advice. thanks for all help. grt forum.

decided on velodyne eq-max 15 inch.

need advice, have 2 questtion.

1. my room size is 14x20 .. so will it make difference if i by 15inch over 12 inch or over 10inch.

2. what size should i go for .. is it power i should be looking at ? or just quality.?

3. how about optimum 10inch incase.. ?

advice me , thanks for help. grt forum.

got this quotes from mumbai

EQ-Max 12 Inch Subwoofer Rs. 52000
EQ-Max 15 Inch Subwoofer Rs. 62000
Optimum 10 Inch Subwoofer Rs 85000
Optimum 12 Inch Subwoofer Rs. 100000

actually i am confused between power and size.

eqmax 12 inch vs eqmax 10 inch ?

also what does this mean
LoPass Crossover 40 - 120 Hz adjustable (12 dB octave, 24 dB ultimate)

they say sub should reach somewhere as low as 20-25.. please explain.

sorry for so many queries .. but i guess this is the place.

When you set the Low Pass Crossover to 40 Hz, all signals below 40Hz is handled by the subwoofer and signals above 40Hz is handled by the front speakers. This setting is important for a seamless integration between the sub and the rest of the speaker systems. Obviously thisis dependent on the frequency response of the front speakers. If the front speakers have a response of 120Hz-16KHz, then the sub should be set to 120Hz. 20-25 Hz is the lowest frequency that this sub can produce.
