Dear Friends,

Firstly, apologies if I am not making sense here and please be gentle as this is my first post. :)

I am looking to build a 2.1 system specifically for listening light /classical music. My Living room and dining area (combined) is around 600 sq. feet. My budget is around 60K and I can stretch a bit. I have been reading various threads in this forum for a while and I have shortlisted my options here. Kindly advise me if I am not going for the right combo and suggest me the better options, info etc.

Music Source: Marantz CD6005/Pioneer BDP 170 (If CDP is no longer relevant, I can go for Pioneer BDP 170. Kindly advise)

Integrated amplifer: Marantz PM6005

Speakers: Wharf dale 12.1 or KEF Q300

I think, I may not get all the above for 60K, but I am okay to build them gradually by buying the music source first. For my music preference, if 2.1 system is a bit too much, am okay to settle for a nice players with built-in amplifier/Speakers. (Bose Soundwave III should do for me, but its heavily priced)

I have Panasonic Plasma 42 TV.

Please help and let me know if you require any other info so as to give suggestions.

Thank you!

I am sorry, but did you correctly measure your room ?
600 sq feet would mean a 25x24 or 20x30

If your measurements are correct, then you probably need much bigger speakers than what you have shortlisted - as bookshelves would sound weak in a room of this size

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
