I just saw that Videocon is providing the most HD channels and has 3d as a added feature. So which should be the better choice?

Checkout the HD channels being offered by Videocon and your viewing interests on these and then decide, but I think Tata Sky would soon catch up.I personality hv two TS connections and nothing to complain, except ESPN HD.cheers

Right now if you like sports then the available options are d2h and Reliance.

I have had TS HD (bought during the FIFA 2010) since last 1 year. If you ask my honest opinion I am not too happy with the DTH (in my view they compress the channels too much) must be the same with every operator. Now my local cablewallaha is also not good and neither is the IPTV.

The only plus for the DTH is that they have the HD channels. (These are quite good).

iam using d2h videocon HD, awesome picture quality, but no 5.1 dolby. Audio is coded in PCM 48khz.

So is that the audio they call as HDD - High Definition Digital? That is the sampling rate ALL DTH operators use! What is HDD they talk about????

I heard from other dth forum that d2h HD supports 5.1 if you connect to Home Theatre with SPDIF Port.Any d2h HD customers having home thetre system can confirm this

I personally have a Videocon d2h 3D HD Zapper installed at my place. It worth the morney . No problem watching the HD channel on my 42inch LED .... Simply superb i can say.

i have tried SPDIF in d2h hd. Nope , it does't suppourt 5.1. It is just stereo PCM.
So do you recommend it. What is the delay to switch channels +/-? During rain does it work or just turns off? Is the Sound though stereo good quality? Are you satisfied with the picture quality? I am thinking to take D2H HD DVR hence pouring the questions.

Airtel or Tata Sky are the best DTH names right now with support for 5.1 audio which videocon does not support. videocon might have more HD channels at the moment but its only a matter of time when the others will catch up.

I would either go with Airtel or Tata Sky. I would not even look at 3D technology right now, its too premature to even discuss about it let alone the lack of availability of 3D content.

Hi All,
Last week I purchased LG LW 5700 42" + Tata Sky HD+.
But whenever I convert the 2D picture to 3D, TV shows the two vertical black bar on left and right side TV. But if I use normal cable channel connection I am not facing this issue with normal cable channel.
Can you help me with this?
Do I need to make any setting in TV or Tata Sky?

This is happening with all the channels of Tata Sky including HD.
