I would like to build a home theatre for my house. I think its not only cost efficient, but also we can build per our wish.
From my childhood I always had a passion to build a sound box for myself and to listen music with big big sound boxes. Didnt had an opportunity to do. Time passed by and now I feel like doing it.
Hope I have a starting problem. I dont know how to begin with. Can anyone share some information with me? Like:
1) Where to buy good speakers in Chennai at reasonable rates?
2) I am planing to prepare like this:
Rear - 8" Woofer, 2 5" Mid Range woofer, Tweeter
Front - 9" Woofer, 8" Full Range, 2 5" Mid Range woofer, Tweeter
Centre - 2 5" Mid Range woofer and Tweeter
Sub Woofer - 10" Sub-Woofer.
How will be the sound quality with the above settings? or should anything needs to be changed?
3) Which amplifier supports this?
4) As I am a beginer I am not getting any ideas, can anybody suggest me some ideas for building it? Like, what all the points to be considered before start?
5) How should I calculate the box measurements?
If I use MDF Plywood for Front panel, can I use other good plywood for outer box?
Hope I am asking a lot, please dont get irritated with my questions
