Hello everyone, Im a new member here and this is my first post. Please help me out with my speaker problem.
I have a 46' Sony HDTV for which I need speakers.
Looking for a 2.0 or 2.1 setup as 5.1 would be too much wires and will be messy.
Budget -15k with a very small chance of extending to 20k.
Requirements - TV with STB, Movies + little Music and may be a Media Player to watch the HD stuff.
ALso want a system that will look good along with the TV, thats why im posting here so that I could get the best of 15k with decent looking set up.
I have been looking around various forums for a solution and I could only come up with this..
1) Edifier s530D 2.1 with optical out or a similar 2.1 speaker set up.
Will I need an Amplifier + DAC with this system ??
2) I came across this setup - Play It Clear
which has 2.0 speakers (CA S30) + Nu force icon uDAC + Topping Tp20 Amp for around 15k. I also came across the Circle Arko 80W 2.0 speakers selling for 6-7k.
Is it possible for me to just get the 2.0 speakers and attach them to TV without AMp or a DAC ?? or is the AMp compulsary with 2.0 ??
Now I would really prefer a cheap pair of stands for the bookshelf speakers.. so please suggest me regarding those.. All I could find was 3k/stand which is quite expensive. This is where the LOOKS part comes in, the speakers will look great on a stand.
Im open to any sort of speaker set up 2.0 or 2.1 or 5.1(IF worth it) as long as they're under 15k. Im not sure IF I need any DAC or AMp with any speaker.
Please provide me with your suggestions or please point me towards the links to make my decision easier.
PS - If you could tell me where I can buy the speakers in Mumbai I would be really grateful.
