Hi All,

I just bought the denon x1400h av receiver. I need help in deciding the speaker package. I had thought of buying the Taga Harmony TAV-606 SE Special Edition. May I know if this speakers are good enough for this receiver.

Any other suggestions for good speakers with bass - preferably floor standing speakers.

My budget is on the lower side(around 35k). So I also open to buy only the front speakers for now.

Budget is 35 for all speakers or just the fronts?

If just the fronts you have lots of options,

Taga 606 may not be a great choice considering you have a very good receiver, you should go for the league above it but they may very well do an okay- job , so try an audition

you need to decide if you need Stand Mounters or wall mounting options. Mission & DALI would be the choice for stand mounters, WharfDale or QAcoustics if you need to go the wall mounting route.

I use the same receiver with Q Acoustics (2010) and they pair up well.

Thanks & Regards,
Rajiv

From my recent audition of this receiver, bass response it weak. So there is no point in purchasing costly speakers for the front because you will not get bass response. So spend less on front speaker and get decent active subwoofer.

Don't purchase front speakers on recommendation. Take good audition of them on this receiver. Ask them to switch off subwoofer and in the setting set it to none.

its a decent avr, why don't start wiht only fronts & get something like dali zensor3? i would advise to stay away from taga as i got the taga sw10 sub & not been happy with the build & their customer service, Its more of a chinese brand then polish(european).

Cheers.

Thanks for your responses. I did an audition and decided to go with Taga 806f. I am buying only the front speakers for now. I got it for 25k and the sound is not bad. I did not expect the bass to be good, but I was surprised and that too without sub woofer. Needed to change a lot of settings to get things right. I'll come back when its time for the sub-woofer.

Thanks in advance.
