Hello gurus,

which are speakers go well with Marantz SR5005 AVR.my budget 35k.give me your valuable suggestion.

Thanks in advance.

Check the Sonodyne Sonus range Welcome To Sonodyne

Sonodyne Sonus 1501 (BS) - 9K, Sonodyne Sonus C2401 (Center)- 6K, Sonodyne Sonus Rears (Dipole Surround) - 10K, Also they have 3 different subs in the range of 15 - 25K.

Happy hunting :ohyeah:

MS Aviano 6 are one of the best speakers but will cost you 35k only for the front 2 towers. I suggest to go for really good front speakers for now and add other speakers later. This will help you build a much better sounding system in the long run.

However if you still feel you need a 5.1 satellite system then some of the good names are Polk Audio, Wharfedale, Boston Acoustics, Jamo, etc..........Try to demo the speakers with the receiver and then decide.

Go with Front two speakers first. Later you can add a center channel and then a subwoofer. Satellites would be last pref.

Spending more on fronts always helps, you would not be wasting money in upgrading at a later time.

My two cents.

Thanks

permi.reddy - I am sailing in the same boat as you and am terribly confused. I know that I don't have space in my home for floorstanders. Also I am aware that better bookshelves make much difference when it comes to music. One other option I am considering is to buy something like a Monoprice set (13K) which we demoed during our AV meet at Mumbai last Sunday. This is a low cost speaker set which was not bad for movies. And later on I can upgrade the speakers and move this to my bedroom or sell it off altogether. 13K for 5.1 system is not much honestly and even if I end up using this system for a year, I'd have ended up spending just 1K per month for them !!

HI,

Shall I go to Marantz NR1402(cost 25k) than SR5005(33k).then I will go for tower speakers .I am trying adjust my budget to 70k. :).

If you want to run Tower speakers then SR5005 will be good.

No point of better speakers if the electronics are not up-to the mark! Unless, it is a stop-gap arrangement. NR1402 is a low powered AVR and will not justify a tower speaker system. It will play and maybe sufficient most of the times, but for the few times when you want to go beyond normal, it will disappoint.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
