HI, we are a commercial film company and we currently use Bose headphones.
But during team review, we have to hear the sound.

IM looking for studio monitor speakers.
What would you suggest ?

And are they available in ProFx India ?

And do we only need to buy the speakers or do we need to buy anything else to be connected to the MacBook Pro ?

So, you have to review just the content or the quality of content too? For latter, check Sonodyne or Genelec. Keep in mind though that these are expensive. If you just have to review the content without quality check, any computer speakers would work.

Sonodyne or Yamaha are good to go . What price ?

I haven't researched on their pricing recently but should 1L upwards for a pair. You may want to call them up.

One of the best studio monitor speakers money can buy are the Manger Audio C1 speakers. Like most studio monitors these are active speakers. So you only need a decent DAC with volume control to drive these speakers.

Also look at the studio monitor speakers from Adam Audio, ATC, Genelec or PMC which are all available here in India.
Edit:
Forgot to mention Kii monitor speakers, which are also available in India.

JBL LSR305 and JBL LSR308 are well reviewed having good frequency response. Do listen to them first. or for that matter any speakers with songs/sounds you are familiar with.
regards.

without having a budget stated it is pointless to discuss.

yamaha are the most affordable amongst the names mentioned above followed by sonodyne. the ones like manger, atc, pmc are all expensive and probably not even justified for the requirement of yours.

suggest you visit the nearest store dealing with pro gears to take a demo of yamaha or sonodyne or many other options like behringer, m-audio, samson, krk, equator, mackie, jbl - all of which have models to suit your requirement at sensible price points. the relevent interfaces to connect them to your laptop will also be available through these shops. do the legwork for sure

If you have the budget, look at Adam audio speakers. Affordable to super expensive range. Audition might be a problem, but used quite a bit of in professional studios. Really boils down to what your budget is.

Take your time, but do post your decision as it may help others.

Since its not for a private listening, I suggest somthing with a metal grill, than stuff like Audioengine, which does not come with a grill.

Pls go for Sonodyne SM50Ak or Sm100Ak as per your budget and if you lack of low frequency, adopt a small subwoofer. These near field monitors are too good in the price range and moreover it contributes to nation's economy as these are Made in India
