Hi i am looking for speakers below that goes with home theater / pc and usb.
The speakers need to have good base and surrond effect. Ideally my budget is 15 k can u please suggest.

There is a 5.1 set from monoprice, the AS8247 model which sounds good and retails for 13k. FMs from the forum had tested it and claimed it to be the best sounding package for the price.

Thank you bro but i am not sure where will i find this in mumbai india. i checked even online its not available on indian websites

but more impotantly even if i cant strech my budget for amp i want clear sound and good bass

i have shortlisted two
edifier C6XD or C6 hcs5640
both have amps but which is better
and any particular model F&D u would recommed

moreover i would connect to my pc but at times i need to connect to my bluray player

F&D F5090 - this has got enormous bass to make movie-viewing pleasant, and speakers provide a reasonably clear output too.
15000/- is not enough for a 5.1 setup.not even for a 2.1 Setup.
For this amount you will end up buying a cheap sounding system and wont be a life long investment. Better buy a pair of Audio engine A2 for 15K less sound, less bass, but better quality and better details. Its os the best setup for music but as you need a 5.1 setup i believe this is for movies go for the sony branded or samsung branded setups, they will be atleast better than F&D

not always necessarily. i believe rarely do the current-gen electronics products last long, as now most of them are not made to last for a life. 15k is indeed a small amount for an HT set-up. as suggested, audioengines also dont fit the bill for a surround-sound set-up either. for a healthier budget, systems from energy and pioneer are better than the offerings from sony and samsung and the likes. however, at 15k, you are left with options from LG, F&D, sony, samsung, etc. only, or a used onkyo/denon set-up for a little more.

the F&D model that i quoted above was better than some low-to-mid-end offerings from other brands at reproducing movie sound-fx when i had auditioned them 2 yrs back (the under-10k segment at that time). the scenario might've changed now. you might have some better options in that category now from other brands too, hence you will have to rely a lot on personal demo.

edifier is also a good brand/choice. if budget is strictly 15k, then check for logitech z906 as well, as you would be connecting the system to your PC as well intermittently. and if you can get something better in the seconds-sale, then nothing like it! post a WTB request, and keep checking the WTS threads.

P.S. - if you wish to listen to music too on them at times, then skip the F&D ones, as their power lies at movie-audio. for music (in a 5.1 set-up), edifiers would sound arguably the best at that budget, followed by logitech (there's one edifier s750 or some model, can't recall its exact name, but this one model is a great and much-acclaimed 5.1 system that does justice to movie-viewing as well as music-listening almost equally, but sadly, its well over your budget by atleast 10k, and also is a little tough to get/find).
