You can contact Md. Illius or Md. Musa at Wellington in Kolkata. They repair used TTS, tapedeck, amplifiers and other vintage stuff. You can also visit Chandni chawk, Kolkata for repairing your gears. But getting spare parts for tapedeck is an ordeal. Hope you may succeed in your mission .

They can provide you used stylus only. New philips stylus is not available anymore. If you are inclined in using ceramic cartridge based player, I would recommend you to buy new turntables under Rs 10k range. There are many brands, easily available through Amazon. Yes, they have negative reviews, but you will get replacement stylus, cartridges, spare parts etc. Also, they are simple machines, so mechanical problem is minimal.

I have a Nakamichi 480 deck with a broken belt. I have set of belts & the rubber tyre with me but, opening the deck and replacing the belts needs services of an expert technician , preferably in Kolkata. Is Mr Ilyas or Mr Musa still working ? Can anybody provide their contact no. please and also location of their workshop?

Thanks @A K Bhattacharjee for your response. I could locate Mr Murtaza’s number from your earlier post and talked to him. Sadly, he informed that repair/maint of deck etc has been discontinued by them for quite sometimes. He rather told me to explore Metro Gully( some Gopal Babu) for such jobs. I’m planning to go to Kolkata next month and take my chances with them.
