Thanks borg for updates and feedback , as compare earlier feed on Setmax and Ten sport very simliour in 1080 i HD .
what i feel DD taken feed from Ten cricket and broadcast in SD .

well pseudo 5.1 is only given if hd channel is transmitting in stereo , also tata sky gives highest priority to quality, they never compress hd channels more, also ten cricket has pathetic quality in standard definition as zee operates channel in low quality, similarly doint expect high quality as comparesd to espn from ten cricket hd. zee started this out os compulsion aas they had to generate interest in series to tell advertisers to give them ads on their standard channel. this is just a balance sheet thing done as they were getting smashed for giving upscaled feedd in partnership with sis dish tv while people were seeing neo, espn and max giving true hd experience. they ultimately had to release money to launch hd which they wanted to save as otherwise already bad ten cricket would have shut down, now hd feed will improve their balance sheet as they will tel,l advertisers that people have ionterest in series, all hd feeds r added to enhance balance sheeets for standard definition counterpart

I agree on quality aspect for Ten Cricket HD, however pseudo 5.1 (for stereo source) is something which most (if not all) of us are bothered about here as TS do such "audio engineering" which completely spoils the sound and atleast for me makes it WORST of ALL with all sort of DRC and terrible 5.1 conversion which is worse then even Dolby ProLogic due to unstable sound stage!

For the channels which got pseudo5.1 I prefer to take stereo out from Setup box and use dolby prologic from my HT. So the pseudo 5.1 doesn't trouble me any more.

I tried that as well.. However as I compared Star Cricket HD between TS and Dish TV, it still doesn't give the clean sound WITHOUT DRC. Also, roaming sounds, automatic volume controls which actually drastically reduce volume especially during STROKE PLAYS VERY DISTRACTING and irritating

Also, taking composite output will give us worst sound from the STB so instead we all should keep escalating to TS to STOP this Fake 5.1 stuff and pass whatever they get unadulterated. Just need to disable such processing, we are not asking them to do any further processing!

Yesterday first time I was watching cricket on this channle I bet this channel has also got the pseudo 5.1 channel. Most of time commentry was comming from center channel but in case of four, sexes or wicket when crowd cherrign sound comign from all spekers the commentry also spread across all channels.

Yeah, and I don't understand how we tolerate such TERRIBLE processing. First Match broadcasted on TS (2nd in the series) did not have this issue! I was getting proper 5.1 during the fist day TS started broadcasting Ten Cricket HD.

So it was PROPER 5.1 on the first day as they could not connect this DAMN AUDIO PROCESSOR like it happened during the MAX HD addition during the opening ceremony when the sound was proper 5.1 initially.

They basically have 2 of these 5.1 "processors/compressors" they might have purchased for Nat Geo HD and Discovery HD world originally. Currently they use one FULL TIME on Discovery HD World and another for one of the event based HD channels.

That is the reason why Star Cricket HD had this terrible PSEUDO 5.1 sound when ESPN HD during CWC was unaffected.

Now when they have 6 to 7 HD channels, they use these compressors on 2 of them like this. We should give them STRONG FEEDBACK to REMOVE these processors as they may buy more of these for the rest of HD channels as well if we keep quite and keep discussing it here!
