Want to use Speaker from 3CD Changer music system with my LED TV

Hi Guys, I have an 8-9 years old 3 CD changer music system (Samsung) with me which I am not using any more, but I do want to use its detachable speakers with my Sony Bravia LED TV. Is it possible to do so? If yes, how can I connect these two speakers to my TV? Please guide.

Assuming these are not active speakers, you need to buy an avr and connect these existing speakers through the avr.

An entry level AVR will cost you around Rs.25,000 but then using Samsung speakers with it, will be injustice to the avr.

Yes.. You can re-use the speakers..But you will need an stereo amplifier to drive them...

For stereo amplifier you can look @ Astonia Stereo amplifier which cost about approx 5K only if u plan to use these speakers....

Let us know your speaker model # & budget for new amplifier, we can recommend based on that...

I agree with elangoas. Considering the speaker system, better go for this option. Otherwise you can use the old Samy system also as an amplifier if it is still working or you can make it workable for something under 1000 or so.

hi shrikant,
If your samsung music system has a LINE IN & if it (amp section) is working fine then you can use them(sytem and speaker box).If the remote is working fine you can use it to control volume.I am using similar setup. Otherwise use a seperate amplifier as elangoas and manzb mentioned.

all sugggested perfectly..

1.use the present system if it has line in.
2.if the main unit is non working,get an astonia under 5k or from a local repair shop/local market simple streo amp within 2k...

Yes possible.....Any idea on the specification of the speaker... (You can find them in the manual (or) behind the speaker)
