Guys, I connected my pen-drive to WD TV Live played flac audio format, 720p videos. But WD TV Live unable to play 1080p video via Pen-drive or also via LAN Cable connected via laptop. What is this?

I am very unhappy with it if it doesn't play any full HD content.

What are ur views on this?

Plz tell me if there is any solution.

An early reply is requested.

Thank you.:)

Now hold on there before you say "unhappy" .....

Do you have the latest firmware installed?
Did u play the file on laptop without an issue?
Did you try playing Via LAN?
Did it show any error when you clicked to play?

or it just told u sorry mate I cant play it :p

1. No, haven't checked the firmware yet:licklips:
2. Yes
3. I was playing it via LAN but then also it's not playing 1080p videos.
4. It doesn't show me any error when I was trying to play 1080p but 1080p videos didn't play also.

I think I need to check it's firmware first.

sometimes, wdtv live does come with weird errors. try switching it off and disconnecting it from the mains and replugging it again. might work. as for me, 1080p works fine on wdtv live. having the latest version.

Please check the WD TV Live website/Forum too.

I am using the same product it plays the 1080P movies. Disconnect/Eject the source. When you connect to USB it creates a folder. Delete the folde by connecting the Pendrive to your PC and againconnect to WD.

I also faced this problem as it was not playing one file, also it stopped playing other files too.

However doing all thosoe trial and error I could rectify the problelm.

download a freeware program called "Mediainfo" right click on the file you are trying to play, click on mediainfo from the context menu, copy the information and share it here.........if you do not find mediainfo in the context menu, then run the application from all programms and load the file you are trying to play from there ........

You can download media info from below ....
