I am planning to buy Wharfedale 10.7 and i would like to
know which amplifier suits this speaker or any other
combination speaker & amplifier

Budget : upto 1.5L (Speaker + Amplifier)
Room Size : 16X10
Movies 60% , Music 40%

Wharfedale goes well with both Yamaha and Denon amps..... Since you are on a high budget, suggest you to audition Denon 2312 or even 3312 and in Yamaha RX V671

You missed to include Marantz..... Marantz + Wharfedale is an excellent combination for both music & Movies...

I agree with Elongoas............Marantz + wharf is a good combo, but why only wharf? why not listen to more speakers and then pick the best.

I have heard wharfedale 9.6 with denon 1912 and 10.6 with marantz 5005
I like both combinations.I felt marantz was more musical.

Source is very important of all... What is your source for movies / Music ?

I am using 10.7 with a NAD integrated amp and they sound good. The laid back sound of NAD complements the sweet vocals of the Wharfedale Diamonds.

For source I have used Musical Fidelity M1 Clic, Linn Akurate DS Player and sometimes Musical Fidelity A3.5 as a transport.
