Hello members thus is the second pist of mine after joined this beautiful forum, i have been using an onkyo 5300 set up with yamaha ns-8900 towers,i bought the towers at reliance digital for 13,500, i was quite satisfied with the yamaha towers but the bass was a little bit boomy.A couple of weeks ago i saw an ad in olx regarding wharfedale obsidian 5.0 setup for 35k, and as soon as i saw the ad i just rang up that guy and negotiated for 30k and immediately straight away went to the guy with the cash, that fellow thought i was gonna audition and buy after sometime but after i went there i was really awe struck by the looks and the speakers were 10 months old in a very pristine condition ,he even had the original packaging.the person was quite unwilling to give away the speakers at that moment , he just thought i would audition the speakers first and then pick it up the next week.But what i thought is to finish off the deal and take away the speakers right away and so i did.
After i set up the speakers i found the there was a change in the bass levels i mean it was way to lower than my previous yamahas.i was initially dissatisfied and thought whether it was a wise investment,but slowly i started feeling the difference in the over all sound quality and one more surprising thing is the bass levels have improved considerably.
So members whats your say regarding the set up for 30k,kindly advice
