Hi all
I have an old warfedale receiver, wav 4313, that has gone faulty and I would be grateful for any help.
When switched on and in standby mode, the led is on and all is fine. However when pressing the standby button the display lit and went off a couple of times, now whenever the standby button is pressed the machine switches off.

I know this is a very old unit but if anyone could advise whether it is repairable or not I would really appreciate it.
also is it a particular component that can be replaced.

Many thanks in advance

Probably a minor short circuit activating the protection circuitry.

You will better take it to a technician rather try to fix it yourself, unless you are really into such stuff.

Thanks for your reply ranjeetrain. I was hoping to have a go at repairing it myself, I have reasonable soldering skills etc.
Do you have any pointers?
thanks again
