Ray Ban meta Eyewear is being heavily promoted and advertised.
Recently I met a person wearing it and felt creeped out.

What do you think of this new “normal”?

All the captured images and videos are sent to Meta/FB servers.

Hope they don't have X-ray vision😀. On a serious note, it could lead to invasion of privacy knowing the credibility of Meta/Facebook and new ways of amassing data.

Are these always on and capturing videos/photos always? That sounds scary

I think the wearer can switch them on or off. And through slick marketing, co branding (with Ray Ban) and sales… they are becoming the new normal.

No online privacy since a couple of decades. Now no privacy in public spaces too. Constant surveillance is the new normal it seems
