xtremer with logitech z5500

Yes, you can connect the HDMI out of xtreamer to your tv and the optical out to the Logitech z5500. According to this page, the Z5500 accepts optical in, so no issues.

The z5500 is a THX rated product .The Subwoofer is extremely good and gives tough times for many other speakers of this range .

Not sure whats the latest price of the same ?

Some times i feel Jealous of the Sub passed by the Z5500 . Its Amazing machine and for the price offered , it can be used for a small HT setup pretty well .
My Friends place is around 9 X 16 Living room

He uses LG Scarlet 42 inch + Media Player + z5500. The connectivity is as mentioned above . HDMI to the TV , Optical to the Z5500 .

thx guys for the info as i planning to get the 42inch lcd in a day or two..will have to decide on lcd going to blasto's place tomm..m plannin for the same
tv+ xtremer (pro) and logitech for the same..as i cannot afford more than that right now..n i really love the z5500 two of my best buddies got em..big time gamers..and those speakers are amazing..

current quote is close to 17,500-18k ...m waiting for my order...

z5500's can be found for 14k and their control pods blow very often, once it does you have to buy new or get off ebays across the world.

yes,i have heard about them but every thing's got its pros and cons and taking its vfm and amazing sound quality frm that kinda speakers for 17.5 i wud still suggest to buy one.

also i tried every where to get z-5500 for less than 17 k but no go.. as of now i m a proud z5500 owner

Instead of a Z-5500 u can buy a Mutaki Series from Sony

For 36K , u get 6.1 Speakers , a dedicated Amp with all connectivity . + 2 Sub woofers . Bang for the buck ..

sony as a brand is good ..but did not liked the sound signature much..no point spending 36 for plastic drivers..
