This was always expected, seeing Eversolo's runaway success.

They have to do their PR game strong like the Eversolo and they have winner in their hand. Online Reviews/ads promo and availability, these will sell them more units than the quality of the product itself.

Still a prototype model and should be available mid August.
Doesn’t support native Apple Music yet :(

why do I need a dac like wiim
The question is DO YOU?

You can always get things cause you can. I have 2 DACs in the same system - 3 actually if I include WiiM cause it does have a dac, but I only use 1 as a DAC.

Now why? Cause well there are 100s of reasons to justify that WHY?
Better sound? Better specs? Better better...
BUT would you be able to really tell?

The WiiM however is not just a DAC it is a dedicated streamer, which your AVR can do as well - mostly, but this things has only one purpose. Also it gives you a more convenient way to play music. So you do not really need it, but you can always buy it.

Does it make any difference in SQ when attached in a stereo setup? Does it make any better? That’s what I am looking for.

Can somebody please explain me why do I need a dac like wiim when internal dac in my amp can work fine?
The Wiim Ultra or the Pro or the Pro Plus are not just standalone DACs. They are streamers with built-in DACs. These are (a one box solution) meant to stream music from Spotify, Tidal, Qobuz etc. (or your DLNA server) to an amplifier.

These devices do have a digital input, and can also function as DACs. But again, they are primarily streamers.

These devices can act as ADC-DAC also, as they have provided an analog input. But the input is really just meant to let a user stream the output of a Turntable to the same system.

what is lacking in your sound right now? What are you trying to improve?
It's not that something is lacking. I am just trying to gather the knowledge if makes any difference by adding this streamer. If it does, then I am open to buy it. If it doesn't then I am happy Airplaying or sportifying through my iPhone.

This is an extremely open ended question and can be answered as both YES & NO.

If you are looking for a streamer - then
Your DenonX2600H should be able to stream spotify natively if I remember correctly - in that case if Spotify is primary then not sure how much of a difference it will make.
As far as apple music is concerned - airplay is one option, but then you can just use an "iphone/ipad" with a USB cable & you have a Hi-Fi streamer.

If you are exploring it as a DAC & there are "perhaps" better DACs available out there for the money.
If you are hoping it has a better dac than your Denon - then again - no guarantees there. What's on paper vs what works in reality are very different things.

If you are looking at it from a DIGITAL SOURCE only - then yes it is a very capable device & will do better than most things in this price range as a DIGITAL ONLY. But it doesn't help you with bit-perfect Apple Music. So that's that.

So again a lot depends and to answer your question - YES it may add value, NO it may not.
