10 meter HDMI Connectivity, Tata Sky HD, HTPC

Friends,

I have BenQ 1070 and would like to connect Tata Sky and HTPC to the projector. Also I would like to connect to Onkyo for audio(Its HDMI out is kaput) only. I have bought a 1x4 hdmi Amplifier. It does work with HTPC, but is not working with Tata Sky. Suggestions?

Hdmi connectivity is not reliable. So I am wondering as how to solve the problem.

Is the splitter 1 in 4 out or 4 in 1 out?
