2D to 3D conversion feature

To what level is the 2D to 3D conversion feature successful in 3D TV's?

Any kind of simulation will have its limitations. The 2D=>3D results into some sense of depth but that about it.

I have used the feature both in my Sony HX850 and LG LM6400 and even though you don't get the 3D effects of a stock 3D video it is still pretty effective. Only thing you need to make sure is to keep the 3D depth in check for decent viewing.
