FOlks -

I have a Sony tablet that supports 3G through regular SIM card (Tablet with no support for GSM voice communication, SMS, and MMS)

I have few questions since it does not support Voice

1) How do I check my usage balance since I don't have a dialing pad (eg: *141#)
2) If I use beyond prescribed limit, how do they deduct money (eg: additional usage 10p/2kb).
3) If I get a 3G SIM whether still it will be having 10 digit mobile number. If yes, what happens if i call this number as this tablet does not support voice.

Basically i am trying to understand how different is from regular mobile phone 3G and Tablet 3G since it does not have voice.

Thanks!!

I use a prepaid connections and when my amount finishes off (internet doesn't work on 3G), I know that it is time to recharge again. You can use a data monitoring app to know the exact usage.

The connection has a regular 10 digit phone number that I use for recharging my account.
On calling the number, I don't get any answer.

One not so easy way you can try is to switch to a carrier that supports 3G data sharing across 2 sims. For example I believe Airtel has a 3G plan which you can share across 2 sims (different numbers). Say you have a 1 GB plan. You can use the same data connection on both tablet and phone until it reaches 1 GB (beyond which you will have to pay at ps/kb rate).

That way you can check the balance on your phone itself, while continue to browse on both tablet and phone with the same 3G connection.

Purchase the Audiolab 6000A Integrated Amplifier at a special offer price.
