40% off at PROFX chennai... Any idea??

Dear Chennai Members,
There is an add from profx today on TOI about 40% off on selected packages of HT. The add also gives the detail of new denon avr flashing on their website.
Any idea on which combination they offer 40% off and upto how long the offer will continue.
If you guys can throw some light on the specific model and combination on offer, one like me far from chennai can check the spec on net and decide....
Humble request to get the details please...

Hi Diplomat,

ProFx announced a similar event in Bangalore about a month ago. Here's what I noticed:

Most of the gear on sale is either demo/used stuff or outdated models. If you are looking at one of their *09 series models of AVRs (1509, 1009, 2309 ...), you may explore further.

Please do not forget to bargain hard.

You made my mistake to have nice sense, but do you think in today's market with all the base prices known to buyers, any dealer can do that...
May be Pannags is right with PROFX just planning to vacate their demo racks at our cost...

Hi,

I called John from the Bangalore showroom and it appears that the same offers will be extended to Bangalore in the coming week.

I guess should pay them a visit as the demo pieces get picked up pretty soon. Atleast, this was my experience here in Bangalore.

Just FYI, the 1909 was quoted at 27k, the 1910 (new piece) at 33k and 1609 (or 1509) at 16k.

In fact, I enquired about that too and it looks like they don't have any special offers on those, only the regular discounts 10-15%.

Of course, he promised to revert should any demo piece be considered for sale.

phone call to profx today evng had no specific answer about the packages on offer, they insist on drop down and demo for the units at showroom. one thing is certain polk audio and misson packages are only on offer. Hope some of forum members by chance will drop in there and give some feedback, which will be helpful for out station people like me. Going all the way to Chennai with blank mind on the offered units have no meaning. Its only for three days.
