i plan to get a lg pq 42" plasma and connecting it with my comp with the help of ati 4850. is it a good idea. has anyone have such a setup right now who could share their experience.

appreciate it and thanks in advance

I think the display will be stretched laterally since the resolution is 1024x768 which is not a widescreen resolution. Might be okay for movies but not for text. Anyone with a similar setup experienced this ?

plasma as a monitor is not a good idea, as I imagine there will be a fair amount of static images displayed. This will cause image retention. Stick with LCDs for monitor purposes (and plasma for television and video :) )
