42lh50 or 42lh90

i have booked 42lh50 for 56000,i am yet to recieve it,then i heard about 42lh90,my retailer said its final prie for 66000,is it worth 10000 more for the LED,

what are the things that will improve in 42lh90 when compared to lh50,

i want to know the performance of lh 50,i watch mainly movies,or should i go for samsung 6 series,

i want to know wether black levels on an LCD depends on contrast ratio or other factors also?

Checkout Samsung B650 for 62k (Bajaj showroom kukatpally). It has USB HD playback (LH50 plays only SD) , better connectivity and better black levels than the LH50. Worth the 6k increment just for the additional features.

LH90 is definetely a improvement over the LH50. But whether it is worth 20% more than LH50 should be decided by you based on your demo as there are not many notable feature differences.
Most people do not see the difference and people who see might not value the difference as worth 20% more than LH50.

i enquired in bajaj,they said they dont have stock of samsung 6 series,wht abt samsung 5 series,they are givin 46 inches for 67k with sun HD free,but 47lh 50 is 62k,and 42lh90 is 66k,

i am confused ,are the black levels in lh 90 better than b650 and b550,

i mostly watch movies from dvds and i am now looking for 46 or 47 screen,

so if i have to go for lh90 i get only 42inch,samsung b550,46 inches and sunHD free,

is the picture quality of b550 better than lh90

B550 won't match LH90 as the former is an entry level 1080p LCD and the latter is LG's top of the line local dimming LED lit panel. The B550 has cheapo CMO S-MVA panels most of the time and they are no way comparable to the LG IPS panel.

The samsung will definitely not have the motion resolution of the LG either.

Is it Sun HD or ordinary sun DTH??
If it is sun HD, then it is a good deal. It alone costs 10k bringing the TV cost to 57k which is an excellent deal for 47" B550.

The LH90 comes between B550 and B650 in black levels IMO. Iam not sure as I haven't done side by side comparison. Also, LH90 is the only LG that impressed me. All others lack in black levels IMO.

42" B650 at 62k is a good deal.
47" B550 + Sun HD at 67k is a great deal.

47" LH50 at 62k does not seem like a good deal compared to B550+ Sun HD.
42" LH90 is also a good deal but 47B550+Sun HD is better IMO.

Amoung the above, I would pick up the 47B550 + Sun HD at 67k. Believe me, the entry costs are prohibitive for HD and you won't get it if you let go this offer.

Does all samsungs come with sun HD offer??

SunHD itself costs 10K.. that makes it real VFM..

Why dont you also check out the LG - SL90 Borderless TV seems to be a better model then the LH50 and LH90 but a tad expensive:

Between 42lh50 and 42lh90, i would go for 42lh90 this a much better TV. Technically LH90 was one best TV's of 2009. You can goto any of the US forums and you would get the same information.

If you are planning to just use it for seeing DTH/cable TV you can go for LH50. Cheaper and you can invest extra thousands on something else.

Hello! jump for Lh90 led lcd. I have bought it fr Rs.72000 in february. Mind you its full led. So no comparisons
