7.1 speaker

Hi,

I want have a 7.1 speaker package which should be under 20k. 7.1 should contain 2 tower speakers. Each speaker with 6 ohms
I am in chennai.
is ther any place i can get the speakers for cheap.

Sounds difficult but you can check Richie St and look for brands like John Barrel etc. Scout around and you may get something. Also, there are several pre-used stuff available there. Try your luck but beware; if you are not careful, they will palm off damaged stuff.

at around 20-25K Yamaha has a couple of 5.0 / 5.1 systems like NS8900 / NS7900 series. Also check profx fusion 6 package sometime back they were giving offers around 25K but of course 5.1. You may add some satellites for teh rear 2 channels later on for completing 7.1.

What AVR have you got? Speaker power handling capacity has to match the AVR power handling capacity.

That said, good tower speakers themselves will cost 18k or more.

Also do you really need 7.1? Is your room size that big?
