Hi friends

My Denon 1610 has 2 speakers connection A, B and A+B.
I would like to bi amp my front speakers, there in no bi-amping facility in my AV receiver and nowhere in the manual bi-amping is mentioned.

Can I Bi-amp the speakers connecting the higher freq from A and Lower freq with B and select the A+B mode in the AV receiver.

Kindly Advise.

Thanks spirovious,

Does Separate crossover means external ones or the crossover settings available in the AVR

Its external as 1610/AVR cannot be assigned as Biamp, so external CO, one for high & other for low.
Before you use,pls take opinion of others who have used it.

A, B and A+B in any AVR are identical full spectrum outputs. In other words both connections will receive identical data.

You cannot bi-amp using these connections.

You can use these to bi-amp the same speakers through external filtering using a crossover. You feed both output to two crossovers (unless you get a crossover that take two inputs), set the crossover for high and low, and feed the outputs to the bi-ampable speakers.

I see no point in doing this though with the power capabilities of your AVR.

Cheers

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
