Hey Guys,
After a research & buying process spanning 5months I have finally purchased my entire home theatre set up which includes:
Denon 2113
Epson HD 3D TW550 projector
Sonodyne 5.1 (floorstanders with Avant CS)
I would firstly like to thank Prosenjit who is a forum member here who has been my friend philosopher & guide in motivating me to migrate from a 32inch Hitachi to a 110' liberty !!! Of course various other forum members have cleared several doubts of mine for which I am very grateful.
It was smooth sailing in the begining when I started off by purchasing the Sonodyne 5.1 set during the 26th Jan SALE period wherein I got a flat 26% discount. The speakers were lying for three months as my room as getting prepared. I had two rooms which was remodelled into one big room to accomodate the whole setup.
The choice for AVR was between the Denon 2113 & th Yamaha 673. I opted for the Denon for 2 simple reasons: 1) No demo was possible for 673 & (2) ProFx gave me a very good 0% interest & processing charge offer from Baja Finance, which I couldn't refuse.
For the Projector I had fixd a budget of 50grands & as luck would have it, Epson launched the 550 at this juncture. At this price getting HD & 3D seemed too good to be true (mind you its not 1080, but 720p). I made the booking in March end & then the sorrows started. I was told the pj is out of stock & Epson is not supplying it. The I was told of the price hike but I insisted that since I had booked it initially I should be insulated of the hike.
Eventually after a moth & a half of followup & escalation I got it delivered last week.
Now my set up is complete. I will soon be putting up the pictures. It is indeed a huge step forward for me, both financially as well as convincing my family that its a wise decision.
BTW my old PS3 was exchanged for a brand new 3d enabled 500gb PS3. So all that is left are the 3D glasses. Hope someone can get me a good deal for it. I will keep posting in this thread.
Once again many thanks to one & all who helped me in this process.
Cheers
