An interesting video shows how these

can become an amp cabinet

I came across this video tutorial a couple of months back when I was desperately looking for cabinet ideas for my AmpCamp. This type of cab might be useful for class D type amps or most preamps. But due to inadequate heatsinks, they might not be useful for class a or class ab type amps.

Saikat, if you're willing to build a chassis using this approach, by working with sheet metal, then why don't you just go ahead, and for heatsinks, get them from Precious Electronics? Visha Electronics in Lamington Road will make heatsinks for you from the Precious catalogue, cut them to any size you specify (in mm) and powder coat them black for you.

You've seen these, I guess?

There are a few more pages of this catalogue.

Visha will work with whatever section you select from this catalogue. I've done this many times. I believe they'll be happy to take orders on the phone too, and ship, though I haven't had to do this.

Great build. With heatsinks like the ones you've used, you don't need any help from Visha Electronics. :)
Actually I might need help on heatsinks of custom dimensions. Thanks again.

yes some class A amps need bulk of HS. i have done research on a super silent fan based cooling system . this system cools 8inch heat sinks even further and silent .may be some day i will have a demoable proto

What type of fan did you use for this btw? What is the current consumption for those fans?

info is kept secret for good reasons.... just a demo will introduce to it

the current will not be much in 0.65-0.85 range ;)
