I hope this will come with Fire OS 7 since more and more 3rd party apps are increasingly leveraging Android 9 libraries for better performance. The Fire OS 6 on the current Fire TV Stick 4K is a bummer; the new one looks promising except for the 8GB internal storage.

I used the Fire TV 4k for a while on my oled. While very versatile I always found the picture quality paled in comparison to Native apps on my tv. Especially depth of blacks. Hope they've done something better with this latest version.
