any reviews ms aviano 6 with marantz 5006

I bought Aviano 6 for my marantz 5006 avr.it is not runing properly (low sound at -10db),any suggestion ?

Give it atleast 100-200 hours. Try playing different formats of audio with different players. Many have tried jriver and other players.

1. Are you running in Stereo Mode? Also have you ensured that Audyessy settings are off?
2. As per Aviano 6 manual it has a special birn in mechanism if you want to burn in faster by facing them front to front of one another and running one speaker with correct connection and the other with opposite wire connection and then play them for 36 continuous hours. If you are not going to do this then better wait for 200 hours and then judge.
3. Also ensure that you have not connected the speakers to surround channel terminals by mistake.
4. What is the length of the wire used for either speakup connector? And what is the brand / gauge of the wire? Ensure that it is not due to faulty wire.

I am running in stereo mode and audyessy off.I connected to Front L and R ports.length of wire is 3 meter for each speakers and brand is norstone. gauage I dont know, but shop person told it is 14 gauge(he taken meter 70/-).

Not Surprised.

why spiro? I play Denon 1911 with similar or even marginally lesser power along with MS AViano 6 and trust me even in Stereo / Pure Direct mode usual volume is around -20 db to max -14 / 15 db (loud, mostly during day).

please recheck the cables, but norstone is a costly brand and cheaper brand 16 gauge DAC cables I bought for 80 / metre when USD was 45 INR last year.

now I changed some settings which I know in AVR,after that it playing music very good sound in 60% for movie 70% (high volume ). :clapping:

is 5006 can support video out other than HDMI ?

may I know what it means ?

I had the 5006 at my house for 2 days and tested it a lot and I was appalled by the power delivery. It was pretty weak. I tested it on the Wharfedale 9.6 which at 90db sensitivity are fairly easy to drive
(( Was looking for a budget AVR for my parents house ))

I posted my comments on a thread I cant remember which one though.

I did compare it to the other 2 AVR's that i have i.e Denon 4311CI and the Onkyo NR 809.
Yes they are not at the same price point . However I did put it against another old AVR that i have lying around Denon 2106.
And on all counts I found the Marantz 5006 to be pretty weak on the power front. However I did find the onboard DAC to be pretty decent

Check the bridge connection is proper between Low & high freq drivers.Else I am afraid, tweeter could have been damaged.

FM Rohaan faced a similar problem with his tweeters on the aviano 6. He is driving the speakers with the Onkyo NR609

The tweeter not working could be the direct result of you over driving the amp to its clipping point as a result of which it is sending distortion to your speakers basically a clipped sine wave.

Usually the first thing to get damaged due to clipping is the tweeter.
