why spiro? I play Denon 1911 with similar or even marginally lesser power along with MS AViano 6 and trust me even in Stereo / Pure Direct mode usual volume is around -20 db to max -14 / 15 db (loud, mostly during day).

True.. With my Onkyo AVR,, I dont cross even -15 db during day times for stereo Music.

The speaker opens up after abt 100 hrs. But even initially the sound is not less, its jus that they are not very open with all the frequencies. Check connections. And dont play in Direct Mode, or may be check your Speaker Configuration and Set them to Large. and LFE to LFE+Main. they shd shine.

I changed front left and right side db values in AVR(make it those +6db,it will go till +12db) .now those are paying in 55%(-25db) volume.

is it any problem if I change change those settings ?

Not a problem, but if you are playing in stereo mode then better keep relative channel dbs to zero and adjust the master volume, that way you have more idea of the actual volume. These avr channel db adjustments are more there to help balancing relative volumes in case there is any differnce due to placements.

I connected laptop to avr with HDMI cable. when I played DTS or Dolby movies AVR is not showing any thing?I am playing in VLC player ,in that I am getting one option that is A/52 over S/PIDF if source have bluray or DTS or dolby formats.

You have to use A/52 over S/PIDF which can send DTS/DD 5.1 to AVR.

I already configured playback device. and I am using A/52 over S/PDIF only.at that time sound signature is changes but nothing is showing in Marantz AVR.

But have you noticed centre channel outputting Dialogs?Can you notice surround sound which is real & not pseudo?Then its working.
In Yamaha there is info button on front panal of AVR & I had to press it till I see decoder option on Display,esle AVR was only showing HDM1 even with DTS files.

I have sort of stopped using VLC because of your earlier mentioned problem (not able to differentiate between DTS and DD etc), though I am sure there might be a setting somewhere, but in any case I had XBMC which I started to use more often after buying a proper AVR + HT.
