Anybody heard Monitor Audio Rx1

Hi,

I am looking to upgrade my Monitor audio BR5 To RX1.

Anybody heard both, and can review the RX1 as compared to BR5.
I have heard the RX6 but the dealer at delhi doesnt keep the RX1.

So looking for some description for the sound characteristics of RX1

you are comparing a floor stander with a bookshelf ?
BR5 and RX1 ?

i have heard the silver series bookshelves from monitor audio
they are lovely
refined and smooth

i would prefer these to the bronze floorstander anytime

is the rx1 quite warm than the rx6 or br5?

RX 1 is warmer than the entire bronze series
as i said earlier -the word that describes it most is "refined" and smooth
rather than bright or warm

There is also Rx2 with 8' drivers that you may want to consider.
I compared the Rx2 to GS10 (Gold series) and it was like chalk and cheese.
The GS10 are for sale at 63k.

Could be magma..
I never heard the Rx1 but I don't have any good opinion on Rx2s.
Rx6 are good comparatively.

And Yes I heard Rx2 and GS10 side by side. Rx2 is only bass and nothing else unfortunately. A total flop.

as my room is not very big (10x10feet), not sure if Rx2 will be suitable for the room.
but i need some low end punch and extension too, so am preferring a bookshelf speaker with 6.5 inch woofer

If the Rx1 or Gs10 can give me a better bass extension and punch than the br5 that i have, that will be good..

Also whether GS10 is still available after arrival of GX series

How would Bronze highest end (BX6) compare to Silver lowest end (RX6)?
How would Silver highest end (RX8) compare to Gold lowest end (no idea)?

Similarly for bookshelves ...

Higher end of lower family or lower end of higher family?

RX8 vs GS10 - Chalk Vs Cheese. It is unfair to compare the sound as bass/treble difference etc.. Its a different level altogether. Fuller, triumph in all departments.
